How to be Set Free (Saved/Born Again)

Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.   And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.

Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

(John 8:34-36)

Every person is sinful and separated from God.

For ALL have sinned… (Romans 3;23)

But your iniquities have separated you from your God;  (Isaiah 59:2)

Every person has but one way to reach God.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father, except through me.  (John 14:6)

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and man, the Man Christ Jesus.”  (1 Timothy 2:5)

Every person must accept Jesus Christ, repenting from sin and turning to God.

That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  (Romans 10:9)

Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?

Admit your need.  (I am a sinner.)

Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).

Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.

Through prayer, ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins, inviting Him to come in and rule your life through the Holy spirit.  (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)

Say this prayer from your heart:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness.  I believe that You died for my sins.  Today I turn from my sins.  I now invite You to come into my heart and life.  I will trust and follow You as Lord and Savior.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Assurance:

“Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  (Romans 10:13)
